Ken is a loving husband, friend, gamer, geek, and a man who brings light and joy to many in his life wherever he goes, most often through dirty jokes and warm, scruffy charm. He's a trade worker in HVAC, and former Pharmacy technician for a major local trauma hospital, and has taken immense pride in servicing his community for a number of years. Recently Ken was involved in a life-threatening car accident that totaled his and his wife's main vehicle, and required intervention via the Jaws of Life and several first responders' bravest and finest efforts. He was sent to the emergency room with major injuries that have rendered him unable to work for an undetermined time while recovering from the accident. His wife, also a medical worker, has been on leave to be his primary caregiver due to his injuries making him less able to function normally, nonetheless perform his job duties. We are reaching out to raise money to assist with medical/emergency expenses, and our tentative goal is to raise $5000 with a focus on immediate apartment rent and utilities. Ken and his wife are eager to continue serving the community in their respective careers as soon as possible, and look forward to this tragedy becoming just a memory in due time. If nothing else, please hug your loved ones a little closer; this came out of the blue and we're already so grateful for all that's been done, including your time spent reading up on our cause.
