Hi, my name is Sabrina Parkerson and I am Renae Duncan’s sister and Ken Duncan’s sister-in-law. If you know this couple you love them, you know they have a deep love for one another, and you’d know they love people and they love Jesus! You’d also know they both have remarkable testimonies in Christ! Thank you, Lord! I am fundraising to help cover bills from this unexpected medical journey they are now on. 5 months ago Ken had an accident at work that then led to very odd medical issues. I see the stress starting to fall on my sister questioning how the bills are going to get paid. I wanted to step in and try to help in some way. I know many of you have reached out to check in on them, so I pray this could be a way we collectively as friends can help lift this financial burden. Every dollar is significant and so appreciated! The Church is a beautiful body and each doing a little is so very impactful, especially in hard seasons, that we all inevitably have to walk through. Little backstory: Ken has always been the breadwinner and after his accident and the swift decline in health, he has not worked in 5 months. As you can imagine that in itself is tough but it’s his health that is most concerning. Ken has lost a drastic amount of weight and at first, the Doctor's thought he certainly had cancer, but they couldn't find it. That has been stressful just thinking about having cancer but not knowing where. They have gone to the hospital several times, and various Doctors and nobody can figure out why he is now anemic too and continuing to decline in health, strength, losing weight and pretty much in bed. During the last ER visit, they told him he is in heart failure, and his heart is only working at 25%. So, they have met with heart doctors, and are hoping to make his heart stronger with medication, and will continue down that path. They still have a long road ahead of them as they are still seeking answers for his health and do not know the root cause of any of this! Above all, I would love to ask each of you to join in prayer that the Doctor's could figure out the root cause and that Ken could enjoy life again. I pray he can get out of the house, walk without hurting, and return to normal daily activities. But for now, he is in pain, his health is declining, and my sister is hurting watching him suffer. It breaks my heart for them! Renae has been such an amazing wife, by his side, and bringing him to many Doctor appointments. All while trying to start her own business, Heart and Soil, and her Nae Nae Glass, to provide for the family in this season. It’s a tough season but we know that God is good in every season and at all times!
