Hi, I’m Dana Peterson. I’m reaching out to our community because Keith, my 31 year old son swallowed his pride and asked for help sharing his story. In October Keith had to put Leo, his 11-year-old lab mix (best friend) down because he had cancer. Keith got married to Heather on January 28th. On their first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife they found out that Keith had cancer. He underwent surgery and completed chemotherapy. On June 28th they had to make the sad decision to put Banjo, their 6-year-old Golden Retriever down because he had a brain tumor. Unfortunately their remaining dog Teddy, a 4-year-old Golden Doodle required emergency foreign body surgery on Monday with an additional surgery on Tuesday. With the accumulated medical and vet bills, Keith going on disability and Heather’s hourly job PTO running out during Keith’s chemo treatments but needing to be there after surgery for Theodore they are really struggling. I am hoping this fund raiser will provide some financial relief as well as some much needed prayers for healing and for their grief. They say that God doesn’t give you more than you can handle.
