I am Leonie Herrera Gillham, the Founder, Director and Mom of the King's Children Home. This fall marks thirty years since I started the home. There have been over 800 children that have passed through the home over the past 30 years. Educating them is one of our main goals.These children come from proverty and many types of abuse and neglect, therefore many of them are behind in their education. With a good education they can become confident and productive citizens of Belize. This money will be used for school tuition, books, backpacks and shoes for the children. We need this money before the end of this year. Without education most children have nothing to do and having an education will keep the children out of trouble. Over the past thirty years I have seen children raised in the home and who have gotten an education go on to be doctors, teachers, technicians, pharmacists and more. Giving the children that are in the home an education means the world to me as it is giving them a positive start in life. I will be so thankful and appreciative to anyone who would find it in their heart to help me in this endeavor. You will be making a difference in the lives of many children. Thank You,Mom
