Hi everyone! I'm here to create a LFEBridge for my dear friend Kate. Kate and I were college roommates at Berea College for two years. She currently lives in Vietnam with her partner of 14 years, as well as their two pets. She is an educator, but also a performer. She is a fiercely smart and talented trans woman that does amazing charity work for not only her local community in Vietnam, but she has also created and executed successful events that have directly raised money for queer organizations right here in Kentucky to fight devastating anti-trans legislation. She may be on the other side of the world, but Kentucky still means a lot to her. Kate recently experienced a sharp decrease in her monthly income, as well as rising expenses, and already has her GRS scheduled. She will also not be able to work while she heals from surgery. If she cannot come up with $8,000 dollars in mere months, she will not be able to complete this life-saving surgery. She has taken on two additional jobs. She has done everything in her power to make this dream a reality. She has taken all the correct steps to do this on her own. But now it's time for us to give her the love she's shown not only her community in Vietnam, but also our community here in Kentucky. Please help me rally around Kate to raise the money she needs to survive. A surgery like this isn't cosmetic, it's life-saving.
