It has been just over three weeks since we began this effort to come alongside Joey and his family. The response has been nothing short of amazing! The generosity that we have seen has far exceeded our expectations and has been a huge encouragement to the McKee's. To ALL who prayed (and continue to pray) and to ALL who gave...THANK YOU!! Words can hardly express our gratitude! We are humbled by the outpouring of love and support. As we bring this LFEBridge to a close over the next day or two, we would just ask that you keep Joey and his family in your prayers... and keep spreading the word, so that more folks would be in prayer for the McKee's. You're all a blessing and we can't thank you enough! As many of you are aware, a little over a month ago, our dear friend and fellow servant, Joey McKee was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Malignant Melanoma. It’s cancer that originated from his skin and moved to his liver. Since this diagnosis, Joey and his precious wife Chalyn, have been nothing short of amazing and faithfully focused on trusting the Lord for whatever the future holds. Their example of mature faith has been such an encouragement to many. When cancer comes to your front door, news like this can be very difficult to process... especially when it comes to navigating the various medical options available. The emotional and physical stress can be very taxing. The burden of the out-of-pocket expenses can be staggering. Over the past month and a half, it has come to our attention that many people are asking how they can help. The first answer, of course, is PRAYER: for physical healing, for the strengthening of their family's hearts and minds and for cancer to disappear. Praying is at the top of the list of "things that help" and is greatly appreciated. In addition to praying for Joey's physical needs, you can also consider coming alongside Joey and his dear family in this time of need. With the various treatments that are available to Joey, the reality is that health insurance only goes so far. What we are hoping to do is help relieve the financial burden for Joey and Chalyn as they seek integrative healing methods. All funds raised will go directly to paying for Joey's treatments and health-related expenses. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful prayer and consideration.
