Joseph McCroary was born on October 16th with a hole in his diaphragm that prevented his lungs and organs from developing as they should.  This life-threatening illness required him to be transferred moments after his birth to his current location at Montefiore Children’s Hospital.  He is in critical care with experts working around the clock to keep his little frame well.  In his first 10 days of life, he has already fought through two major surgeries.  Joseph’s journey is not a sprint.  It is a marathon. In the spirit of supporting Joseph’s marathon race for life, we are trying to raise $26,200 to see him and his parents, Michael and Michelle through their journey ahead.  (A full-length marathon is 26.2 miles).  The cost of expert-based medical care, time off work, an apartment in proximity to Joseph’s journey, and daily parking in the city amounts to a formidable expense. We need a whole village to help Joseph through the race ahead.  This marathon was one never anticipated, but the vistas can be breathtaking as miracles unfold.  Please be part of the miracle for the McCroary Family by donating generously to Joseph’s Journey and sharing it with others. The family will post regular updates to this site as Joseph’s journey continues.  Any questions, please contact his proud new grandmothers Diane McCroary and Debbie Guidice.  Thanks for your support!
