Hello! My name is Lexy Keller, I am trying to fundraise money for my parents as my dad is about to go through head and neck radiation and will have a bunch of medical bills as well as other bills that will need covered also since my dad is the primary provider. I'm not one to share this stuff on a public forum and due to the request of my dad we haven't made this public knowledge, other than to the immediate family and those we see on a daily basis. So please don't feel left out, it wasn't intentional by any means. These last several months have been a whirlwind. Back in March Jon discovered a lump on his neck. After a biopsy it was determined that he had Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HPV Cancer) a highly curable cancer, but still. The Lymph node was a secondary location, the primary location was a mass on the back of his tongue. A Pet Scan showed no other locations of cancer but several suspicious lymph nodes on the opposite side. The end of May he went through a bilateral removal where they removed 72 lymph nodes and a tonsillectomy to remove the mass in the back of his throat. The lymph node had aggressively grown from its original size of 2mm to almost 5 in the course of 3 months. He is now facing dental surgery this week and onto 6 weeks of radiation within the next two weeks. The good the bad and the ugly is heading our way. Last week he had a feeding tube placed for his upcoming radiation. Head and neck radiation, from what we've been told is very difficult and one of the worst forms of radiation you can have. The tube was placed in the event he cannot eat once he is further on into his treatments.
