Update 7/13 - Yesterday, we met with his oncologist and received some difficult news. Unfortunately, his liver shows significant disease, and the current treatments are not effectively slowing its growth. The oncologist doesn't expect him to maintain his current quality of life, and it's likely he will require assistance to live within the next six months. It's heartbreaking, but Dad remains optimistic, while also being realistic. Our wish is for him to enjoy the upcoming months stress-free, spend time with family, and live life on his own terms. As many of you know, Mike is facing an overwhelming battle against stage 3 liver cancer, and despite his unwavering determination, the treatments thus far have not yielded the results we had hoped for.
