God has blessed me with being a part of John Layton's life. I have always referred to him as my bonus son. Since his days in High School, John showed me and those that know him what hard work and persistence look like. John continues to be a great friend and embodies the characteristics of a faithful, dependable and kind young man. John has been diagnosed with stage 3 Testicular cancer. John had to undergo surgery in late June for a left orchiectomy. The diagnosis of the lump came back as stage 3 testicular cancer. After having multiple CT scans, the cancer has spread to his lungs and lymph nodes in his chest. At only 27 years old it is a daunting reality. I know what cancer can do and I also know that bills and medical costs stop for no one. He will have a port inserted into his chest so that he can receive infused chemotherapy. It will be a vigorous regimen. Chemotherapy will be every day Monday through Friday for 2 weeks each month for 4 months. Each session will last 6 hours. This Go Fund Me will help to cover costs associated with copays to receive the chemotherapy. Additionally, John will not be able to work for the duration of his treatment. He'll need help with rent, utilities, and living expenses. We ask first for prayer. We know that God is in control and that John will overcome this cancer and be a survivor! Please donate to help him during this time of need. Any amount will help. If you're not able to donate, please share this Go Fund Me link. I'll provide updates as they become available. John, we got you!
