Joe needs our help...and a new hip!! He has spent many years as a contractor and commercial fisherman and that strenuous work has taken a toll on his body. After being in severe pain for the last several months, the doctors have determined that he needs a hip replacement. Unfortunately, being a self-employed contractor in these economic times has landed him without health insurance. Medical bills have been piling up and the surgery hasn't even happened yet. He has not been able to work very much since this began due to the extensive pain and his inability to walk far distances or climb a ladder and unfortunately, he has gone through his savings already to make up for the decrease in income to this point. Surgery is scheduled for mid-August, so he has several more weeks of no work and then will be out for at least 8 - 10 weeks to recover and do physical therapy, which is not covered either. While Jen is still working through all of this, her salary alone cannot sustain their monthly bills. He is in a bind and needs our help. Joseph would be the first to help any of us, so please if you can, take a minute to help him during this stressful time. Any funds collected will be used for his monthly rent, bills, physical therapy and other medical expenses.
