Hi, my name is Jessica and I am fundraising because I have stage 3 cervical cancer. I am currently going through chemotherapy and immunotherapy 2 days a week, every 3 weeks until the tumor shrinks enough to start the 7-week, 5 days radiation with once-a-week chemotherapy. The tumor migrated to my pelvis and is bigger than a grapefruit. Due to the tumor's size, I am unable to do radiation because it's too big an area to pinpoint. I have already lost my hair and losing my hearing. I am always feeling sick, and vomiting and I rarely leave my bed. I have intense pain in my pelvis constantly. I live in Massachusetts but get treatment in New York and the insurance won't cover my transportation. I go to New York 4 days a week, first for treatment twice a week and 2 other days for: Lab work Doctor visits CT scans PET scans Biopsies Medication add-ons & adjustments Blood transfusions Port Placement surgery Nephrostomy bag surgery And so much more...... The trip to New York is 51 miles one way. Now my car needs repairs, back brakes and 4 new tires and the estimate is almost a thousand dollars. This is on top of my regular bills. I also have two daughters a 10-year-old named Halo and a 14-year-old named Adriana. I'm disabled and receive SSDI, which isn't enough to live on most months. So if possible please help me have one less thing to worry about and donate anything you can to help me get there and get there safely.
