In August I hurt my foot randomly and had to have a cast put on. Once the cast was removed, it was apparent that I had developed a blood clot in my calf. I was put on Xarelto to thin my blood and hopefully break up the clot. After 10 days of being on the medication, I had a severe GI bleed and I was admitted to Piedmont Hospital. I had a colonoscopy done and a large tumor in my sigmoid colon was determined to be the source of the bleeding. Based on its size it has been growing for 6-7 years, but I never had any symptoms. I have just undergone surgery to remove my sigmoid colon and I am home trying to recover. I was diagnosed with stage 3B colon cancer. All in all it has been an exhausting couple of months and my journey has only just begun. I will begin chemotherapy treatments soon. I am unable to return to work for the rest of the year and I have used all of my available vacation and sick time up. I will stop receiving a paycheck Nov 6th. Unfortunately there is no short or long term disability coverage at work.I have seen LFEBridge do amazing things for other people who are in similar situations. I have resisted asking for help as I am a very private person, but with mounting medical bills and with no paychecks coming in, I have decided I have to do what I can to help my family financially. I need to ask for help. Having cancer is a very humbling experience. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. I am so thankful for anything you can give. Please share my link.Thank You and God Bless,Sincerely,Jeremy
