Hi, Annette here (Jason's wife) We are not the type of people to ask for help and typically we just figure out things as they come. But with the last month's, present and upcoming medical bills I think it's time to see if we can get some help with the nessasry things that my husband and our family have going on. Here's the story: Started back August last year Jason was noticing blood in his urine so he went to his primary, told him to have some testing and go from there. After some tests and scans he was referred to another doctor that could do further testing and scans. Come to find out that he has cancer of both his right and left kidney. Now further into the past of a child he was passed a long a genetic disorder that was never medically tested for or given the word that it was actual in his genes. Called Tuberous Sclerosis. Which we know from an actual test we have the answer that yes he has this. I did my own research and it causes tumors in the body, but typically they are benign and nothing to worry about. Unfortunately jason is in a specific percentage that his tumors will always be cancerous. He's had biopsies to determine that they are indeed cancer. November he had surgery on his right kidney to removed. With the understanding that they can always come back. He was out of work for a few weeks. Now at this time they also found a spot on his pancreas, had a biopsy and got word that was cancer too. He has had a number ctscans, petscans, a dototate Scan. Almost every week there was new scans new blood work new appointments. He's only home Thursday afternoons and Fridays. There's more to it and I could use a 100 of these spots for all the detail.  He just went and had surgery on his pancreas the 27th of June, it was suppose to be a 6 hour surgery that turned into 10.5 hours, they removed 50% of his pancreas and his whole spleen. They started robotic then ended up opening him up because it wasn't safe to continue robotically.  He will need boosters for that. And other complications that can come about. He came home after a week. Will be out 8 weeks. We went to go to his follow up, listened to what the doctor was hoping for here forward, seeing a medical oncologist taking monthly injections hoping the cancer wont come back. Explained all the things we just don't want to hear that can happen. As she left, he got super  pale white and vitals started going off the wall. Rushed to grab her, the sent in the code blue team to send him to the er so he could be treated and tested. Blood work, CT scans again. He was then brought to a room in the icu because they were worried of infection because his white red blood cells were super elevated. His vitals were scary high. He has a pocket of fluid in his back near his rib cage and one above his incision. And some fluid in his lung. Which mind you he only has one lung and a half. He had another procedure to put in a drain tube to drain put the fluid and currently fighting off a nasty infection. Things are happening slowly but as of right now going in the right direction. He still has a spot on his left kidney, and now another spot that has came back on his right. He also has a spot on his spine. But he needs to heal.from this first. He will have a lifetime of scans, tests, and appointments. Currently out of work till August.  Yes he has insurance and unfortunately he has to hit his deductible before they pitch in anything. He has a total of 14 bills that we have to pay on monthly. On top of normal daily life. I'm a stay at home mom of 5 and try my best to door dash when I can, I havent been able to see him much because of the gas and paying for parking and having to be mom at home. Plus I take care of my dad. Right now, anything would be helpful. If you can't donate just pray for my hubby and pray for our family. He's 36 and he's going through some really hard things. His spirits havent been the best and we are usually very personal to our selves kind of people. We appreciate you reading this.
