Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters, My beautiful mother Janice was diagnosed earlier this year with Stage 2 Triple Positive Breast Cancer. We feel fortunate and very thankfully that her doctor was able to catch the small mass during her yearly mammogram. Despite this life changing news she has managed to remain in good spirits. Janice is a joyful southern mama, grandma, and wife who is 66 years young. She is currently undergoing six rounds of chemo therapy. The medical bills have begun to roll in from May when her treatments began. Even after insurance has paid their portion the remaining balance for each round is $1900. This does not include any additional medications, therapies, or doctors visits that are required. Once she has finished her chemo therapy and recovered enough, she will undergo a mastectomy. She is currently unable to work while she undergoes treatment and we do not for see her being able to return to work until at least the first quarter of 2024. As you can imagine going from two full-time incomes to only one has been substantial loss of income. My parents do not meet the financial requirements for financial assistance through the medical facility where she is receiving her treatments. Disability is unfortunately also not an option, she was told that she was six months past the age cut off. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to alleviate the financial burden that accompanies her treatments, medications, and on going healthcare expenses. These funds will enable my sweet mama, Janice, to focus solely on her health and well-being, without the added stress of medical bills and financial constraints.
