8/6/23 Update Our sweet Jayleigh and her family are in need of your support!! Her family is not able to work right now so they can be with the sweet girl. Any amount is appreciated and will go to help with any finances needed for anything during this time. Most recent update from Sarah's mom: We came into the ER due to Jayleigh having chest pains and being lethargic. Her blood pressure started dropping,her heart rate jumped really high and she was septic, so they admitted her to the PICU. After numerous CT scans and a MRI the saw that her bladder had a tear and was leaking urine into her stomach. They did emergency surgery to prepare her bladder and drained a liter of urine out of her stomach. The doctor called us into the consult room and told us that the surgery went GREAT and she was doing GREAT! We were so happy and were able to finally exhale. As we were waiting for her to be brought back to her room from the operating room we got another call to come to the consult room. Were then informed that somehow the breathing tube came out of her lungs while they were bringing her back and she went 5 minutes without oxygen. She went into cardiac arrest and is now on life support. She had a collapsed lung, damage to the left side of her heart and very little brain activity. She has made a little improvement. Her lung has opened back up for the most part, but she is in a pretty rough spot right now. We need prayers.... Non stop prayers please. That's all I have for now.
