Hey, my name is Kasey Hair. I’m starting this fundraiser for our Jacob and family during this hard time that they are going through. When Jacob was 3 years old he was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer, which was located in his nasopharyngeal area. Although he went into remission, he had many difficulties due to the chemotherapy and radiation he received for treatment. Everyone who knows Jacob knows that he’s always been the one loves to make everyone laugh and has a true heart of gold. Jacob was blessed to have been in remission for 22 years. However, a couple of months ago Jacob started to have some dizziness and headaches, which later led to him having multiple instances where he would lose his balance and fall. The decision was made to take him to the emergency room for scans, where they found a large mass in his brain stem. The mass is growing rapidly. Since hospital admission on 7/12/2024, Jacob has lost mobility in the left side of his body, is unable to see and speak clearly, and has lost his ability to swallow. Jacob had the biopsy on the brain tumor on 7/19. The Physicians say it could take up to a month to have the genetic testing completed to have a diagnosis of exactly what type of cancer we are up against this time, however, it is believed to be another rare form of cancer. Unfortunately, this one is malignant and inoperable. Jacob is now deciding whether or not this is a battle he would like to fight again or if he just wants to be comfortable and rest at home with his family around him. I am asking for donations for our family who have been affected by everything going on, whether it be for costs of food and gas while staying in the hospital, or medical bills that aren’t covered by insurance. Anything that can help them while they continue to go through these hard decisions and take their time away from work to spend it with the family and Jacob. If you can’t donate, that is okay too. We just ask that everyone send up prayers for comfort and guidance through this difficult time and we thank each and every one of you for the donations and the prayers. ❤️
