My name is Jack McCarthy, a musician and songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. I have been playing guitar since I was nine years old and have been writing music for the past six years. Though it may sound cliche, music is my life, my passion, my existence. I believe that I was put on this planet to create music and to share for others to enjoy and relate to. While it is not my goal to make music to appeal to others, support from people who are as passionate about local music and music in general, is incredibly important. All I want is to share my love for this art form with the world. I have just completed recording my first album, which is set to release on November 12th of this year. I was saving money, slowly but surely, to print CD's when I was robbed for $900. Overnight, everything I had worked for was gone, which has put a potential delay on the album release. I am reaching out for some assistance in this creative endeavour that I am extremely passionate about seeing through to the end. Anything helps, and the money will go toward paying my engineer and producing the physical copies by which every donor will receive for free and free admission to my album release party, which will be held at Rambling House Soda Pop on November 12, 2015.Believe in local music.
