My 16 yr old granddaughter Izzy was involved in a major car accident/ejection on Sunday July 16th. The truck she was in rolled over. As a result she has a fractured neck, spine (T1-4 and C7), broken sacrum (pelvis), collarbone, several ribs, collapsed lungs, and bruised spleen as well as many other cuts and bruises. Neck, ribs, and spine will be able to heal on their own through physical therapy. She had a 4 hour surgery in which she has an exterior fixation on her pelvis and a metal plate holding her collarbone together. No serious injury to the other car involved in the accident, nor to Izzy’s dad and stepmom. As you can imagine, Izzy has a long road to recovery. I’m setting this fundraiser up to help Izzys’ mom and stepdad to help with the various costs of adjusting to all the changes with Izzys’ new lifestyle as a result of her many injuries and her long road back to recovery and all that entails. Most of all, please keep Izzy in your prayers. I’m looking forward to the day she gets her goofy personality back and the day she gets to go fishing and dancing again.
