Hello everyone. My name is Christine Danis. I’m Nana to Alyssa Lessard and Nana in Law to Mitchell Lessard. Over the past four years my granddaughter and grandson in law have been through so much pain and disappointment trying to conceive a baby. This is a very sensitive topic so I will be brief. After two miscarriages and over 3 years of disappointment Alyssa and Mitch reached out to the IVF clinic. The results assessed they do require IVF (Invitro Fertilization) in order to conceive. Alyssa and Mitch have completed one round of IVF (partially covered by the government), one time only. This has sadly been unsuccessful. However, they are deciding to try a second cycle of IVF. The average cost for one round of IVF is between 25,000 to 30,000 with medications. Alyssa has partial (80%) coverage through her employer, however 20% of 30,000 is still quite difficult for them to attain. As well, Alyssa now requires a test to determine if she has a bacteria that may be hindering her IVF success. Thankfully this can be successfully treated with an antibiotic. However, this is an additional 3,000. The final costs can vary dependent upon each recipient’s situation and needs. Every dollar will help them to go forward with their dream of having their own baby through IVF. As Alyssa’s grandmother I have been closely involved throughout her brave and determined efforts to become a mom. This has been Alyssa’s dream throughout her young childhood and is now equally Mitchell’s. I’m very confident they would be amazing parents! Let’s assist them with ANY donation no matter how small. Prayers and positive vibes are also welcome. With much appreciation. Thank you. Christine Danis
