Update 7/13/23 After battling his injuries, our dear Emmanuel has gone from us. He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth, and children. This fundraiser will remain live and all funds will go to Biz for any of her family’s needs- medical bills, legal fees, funeral costs and support for her and the kids’ livelihood. At this time, there are just no words. Emmanuel will be missed by so many. Please continue to keep the Leasiolagi family in your prayers, and know that any contribution will make a great impact. Original post: Our brother Emmanuel, and his wife Elizabeth, have been a blessing to everyone around them and would never ask for anything in return. So we’re starting a fundraiser for anyone who would like to support them at this time. As many of you know, Emmanuel was in a tragic car accident that totaled their jeep and left him in stable but critical condition. Last Saturday morning, on his way to work, Emmanuel was struck head-on by a truck that lost control and crossed the center barrier on the highway, sending him off the road into a tree. He suffered a broken pelvis and internal bleeding. He will undergo multiple surgeries to repair his pelvis, femur and socket while doctors also monitor damage to his internal organs. Recovery time, after all of this, is expected to be 6 months. Though the news is shocking in and of itself, it penetrates the Leasiolagi family as a whole in a disturbing way as they lost their brother, Shammah, to a car accident in January. So this incident is almost unfathomable, but we are grateful beyond words that Emmanuel is alive. So many of you have reached out to tell us you’re praying and to ask how you can help. Your prayers are moving mountains you aren’t even aware of. We believe in a living God who responds to the faithful prayers of his people. Biz and Emmanuel are feeling and seeing all of your contributions in this way. We are aware, though, that in a short time there will be hospital bills and monthly expenses that will need to be paid. If you’d like to expand your support financially, it will alleviate a great amount of stress and pressure off of them while Eman recovers. Many of you have been moved by Emmanuel; if not emotionally, then physically; and if not your actual, literal person, then probably your house or some other large object that required a big, strong man who doesn’t let anything stop him. We believe that with God’s unfailing help and the support of all of you, even this event will not stop him from fulfilling the calling on his life. Again, every one of your prayers, messages and contributions are being seen and felt. As Biz stays by Emmanuel's side she is working to keep everyone updated as best she can. They appreciate everyone's support more than they can say!
