My name is Karlene. I currently have stage 4 kidney failure. I am currently on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. On June 22nd, I was diagnosed with Covid within that time while I was fighting Covid I received a call for a kidney transplant but unfortunately I couldn’t take it because I had Covid. I have a job; however, short term disability has a processed that takes extremely long to pay you. I’m trying to be prepared for whenever a kidney becomes available for me. I know when that happens I will be out of work for a while so I’m trying to prepare myself now. People always see me and say you don’t look sick. I be saying to myself why do a sick person always have to look sick. I wake up every morning grateful and blessed to see another day, so I get up and put myself together no matter how bad I feel because I am beyond grateful to be on this earth with my daughter and family another day. Anyone who knows me know I don’t do stuff like this but I prayed and prayed and decided to go through with it. I would like to thank everyone in advance for anything that they are able to donate.
