In 2010, I had a stroke and was declared Disabled by the Social Security Administration. After being placed on Disability payments, I have struggled. I have survived. In 2024 My business partner died, and I was forced to move from my home. My situation here where I live, has become an impossible nightmare. Deterioration of my Spine, Advanced COPD, and the endless barrage of monthly bills have been so overwhelming, and yet I am blessed and I am grateful. I have a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, food to eat, a car to drive, and clothes to wear, but, My monthly utility bills excede my income and I am struggling physically to make ends meet and keep it together. I need to move to a smaller place and downsize to be able to survive this transition. Anyone could realize that with the inflation of the prices of gas and groceries and the high cost of living, that my Social Security Check 770 dollars per month income is not cutting it. I've had to drop my homeowner's insurance and my landline phone. My eyesight is failing due to Glaucoma, I do get food stamps. about 50 dollars a week. for 3 of the 4 weeks of the month. I had to have a tumor the size of an orange removed from my bladder. in January I do qualify for Medicare & Medicaid but, I have no one to care for me. I live alone. I am frightened and the stress of living where I live, has made the situation even worse any help would be greatly appreciated. God has Blessed me.. I am an Artist, and I paint. I am a Musician, and I play the Drums, I am a Horticulturist and I have grown plants for over fifty years. My physical health has reached the point where I can no longer stand up to shower, cleaning the house wears me out, and I still try to do my laundry and eat at least one healthy meal per day.
