In my professional career, no one has left more of an impression on me than Heidi Timm-Bijold ("HTB"). As anyone in her vast professional network can tell you, Heidi is a force of nature. She is fiercely supportive of her colleagues, clients, projects, community, and loved ones. She is a pragmatic optimist and a true leader, capable of shepherding the most complex redevelopment projects to success. Heidi has a huge heart and a propensity to fight for anyone in need. In July 2024, Heidi started in on the fight of her personal life, which we have dubbed HTB's Project KCA ("Kick Cancer's Ass"). She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of triple-negative breast cancer. Heidi started her first round of weekly chemo in mid-July; her treatment plan calls for 24 sessions that will extend into January, after which she will have surgery and ongoing cancer immunotherapy. Heidi is facing the physical, emotional and financial challenges of this diagnosis with the resilience, optimism, and sheer grit we would expect from her, but as a solo owner of a consulting business and a single woman, it will not be easy. Kristin Prososki (my partner in this effort) and I wanted to provide a way for the many people and companies who have experienced Heidi's warmth and support to now turn around and give her their support. All funds donated here by individuals or firms will go directly to Heidi for her use in covering medical expenses and living expenses while she fights breast cancer.
