Hi my names Kate Cloud and I just purchased a large building attached to a landrymat with a huge yard 1 mile off the Continental Divide Trail in Rawlins WY. I want to turn this entire property into a thru-hiker and biker Hostel for those coming in from not just Continental Divide Trail, but also the TransAmerican Trail, and Great Divide Mountain Bike Trail. This quaint little town is a major hub for all 3 trails with not much currently to offer these travelers in respect to what they need and I want to change that. Please help me transform this property into a safe and relaxing place where hikers and bikers alike can come for not only a cozy escape from bad weather, but for hot showers, cleaned clothes, hot meals, gear repair and or replacement options, mail service and resupply options. In addition I also hope to purchase a Van or other big vehicle to help transport those who might need to reach other areas of town, possibly for medical assistance or whatever other needs that may arise not offered on site. If you are part of the thru hiking community and or a cross country bicycle tour enthusiasts please help me help more of you have a safe and welcoming place to rest, heal, feast, repair, shower and commune. The Hostels official name will be " The Great'ful Goat" inspired by Little Leaf the famous nomadic goat rescued at just 4 days old even though given a less then 10% chance of survival by vets. Her story a testament to the ripple effect of what having compassion can do. .. And I am SO grateful for her strong spirit and unconditional friendship despite being a goat she has taught me more then I ever expected on how easy love is to have and reflect.
