Hello, My name is Albert, I’ve started a go fund me for my friend's 8 year old daughter named Genesis. Genesis was born to what seemed a healthy baby girl, But took a turn when she was almost 3. She was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Rett Syndrome, a mutation that affects the brain development primarily in girls. Rett syndrome begins to manifest itself during the toddler years. After a seemingly normal first year the child begins to lose previously acquired skills. Rett most commonly affects speech, purposeful hand use, motor coordination.   As a close friend It’s been a rough couple of years watching Vanessa silently go through this alone. Being a single mother and soul provider, advocating for Genesis, the constant battle of Genesis seizures, and sleepless nights.Vanessa always makes sure that her daughter’s silence dos not to unheard. Vanessa spends most nights doing late research looking for help/answers that can help her child in any type of way. Which was when she came across  https://napacenter.org Genesis is currently is in need of Intensive Therapy which will help with her speech, physical rehabilitation, occupational and other innovative therapies. The cost of these intensive therapies are very expensive for a single mother. Sadly at the moment these intensive therapies are not covered by her insurance. Which will need to be paid out of pocket. Currently they’re 8 companies fighting aggressively for a cure. A cure is within reach for these girls. In the meantime, Vanessa is doing everything in her power to give her daughter the best life possible, keeping her in the best shape she can trying to mitigate the symptoms of this terrible syndrome as much as possible, but we want so much more for her, We want to do our part to fight alongside her. As Genesis works tirelessly to regain skills she has lost or new skills that she continues to amaze us with. She's a warrior! We are asking our friends, family and members of our community to join us to make this possible for her. Anything will help even sharing this link!
