UPDATE: 2/4/24 Hi everyone, Happy New Year. Orion (Chryseis' brother) here, writing with another update after a while. Some key highlights of the journey (with a video included of her explaining what's going on so far): - Chryseis (AKA Sha Sha) has a hole in her lung, which is a different and new aspect of her healing journey :/ - The bad news: she has sustained some lung damage/scarring from both pneumonia and chemo impacts.. :( - Previously, the tumor was growing larger by the day; encasing the heart and pushing up against her lungs. This was weakening her breathing capacity! :/ - However, the mass has shrunk by a lot (!!!) to 4-5 cm in diameter. Thank you to everyone who donated to support this process: your money, prayers and well wishes are working!! :) - While the tumor is non-operable because it is wrapped around her pulmonary artery, the chemo is apparently very effective and we are well on our way to permanent recovery. :( :) Currently, there are some bureaucratic delays keeping Chryseis from accessing financial resources and medical care, in our current situation in Florida. Any continued donations to support Sha and her family will go a long way to easing their funding burdens and allow them to fully focus on getting over this cancer journey. THANK YOU SO MUCH! UPDATE : 12/12/2024 From Orion, Chryseis' brother: "Hello everybody. Thank you so much for your support so far. The journey has been long and winding, but please send your prayers, well wishes and thoughts that we get through this and any continued financial support or promotion of this fundraiser will be life-saving. In early December, my sister had a health emergency that moved her from Hope4Cancer's clinic to Scripps Chula Vista in San Diego. She exhibited symptoms of being unable to breathe and her condition was not improving. At Scripps, it was discovered that there were lesions in her throat and a blood clot in her lung which, already in addition to her cancer/tumor, inhibited her ability to breathe on her own. Turns out she has a fungal infection and is developing pneumonia, which isn't good for her recovery :/ I was able to spend a week with Chryseis, giving her emotional support and being there physically. Because we have begun full-dose chemo, I also helped her shave her head and she looks gorgeous!! Also, I was able to help facilitate visits by our cousins while I was around. We are doing our best to keep our spirits hopeful and thriving. At the moment, her husband Joe is at the hospital with her and staying nearby when visiting hours are over.. our current plan is to wait until she gets better to be discharged, to get her belongings from Hope4Cancer, and transition to a cancer treatment center in Florida where she has extended family to support her process. True to the fundraiser and its goal, we have not stopped working towards securing the monies needed to ensure my sister has the most easeful healing journey possible. As such, I am still inviting everyone that can to donate what they can to reach our $55K goal. These funds will give us as a family the resources needed to pivot as we can, and ensure Sha has a solid pathway to a cancer-free life. To celebrate and savor life with her kids and her newly wedded husband. Please give generously if you have the means to. It has and will continue to be a struggle, and your resources helps cushion and support us as a family to be strong together. Even if you cannot donate a lot, a little is still so appreciated.. Every little bit makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, even sharing this fundraiser will be supportive to us. Help us help her. We can't do this without you. Thank you for your love, Orion" UPDATE : 11/3/2024 From Chryseis (Sha Sha): “Updates: my stay at the clinic has made me healthier, stronger and less stressed all around. I believe with the aggressive nature with my tumor being treated has stabilized it at the very least that there was no growth while being treated at hope 4 cancer. Seeing if the low dose IPT treatments were working to shrink it. I noticed a very slight difference. Since it’s low dose the impact of shrinkage was reflecting as we had expected. When I went home and fell and was in the hospital for 3 days it gave me a huge setback for several reasons. The trauma caused my tumor to grow to 13cm. I went back to hope4cancer to recoup from the damage. Dealing with Adema and everything the hospital pumped me full of drugs unnecessarily. Then after the swelling went down, I think the double antibiotics at the Georgia hospital they gave me without consent wiped my gut flora and I ended up with hemorrhoids and diarrhea and had to recoup for a week from that. Once that was under control after hope 4cancer fixed me up. I noticed pressure in my chest and head and swelling in my neck caused suspicious bulging veins. I was having difficulty breathing and started coughing again and coughing made the pressure worse which caused concern with my doctors. I had an ultrasound to check for blood flow and blood clots. Thankfully the ultrasound was clear of blood clots. We did and angio ct scan to see if my mass is affecting my blood vessels from my heart, and it seems like it’s restricting blood flow from one side of my chest and my ekg showed although my heart is still very strong, that it is enlarged on one side. My team of doctors and I decided that targeted radiation asap is the next course of action where they have a method in plan to protect my heart and lungs and surrounding organs while shrinking my tumor quickly to alleviate my condition and to get it a place where I can continue a more likely a more aggressive chemo plan. They want me to start radiation treatment next week. It’s 5 treatments. One everyday and the. Will evaluate how I’m doing. The plan is to continue my therapies while on radiation with the detoxing and adding selenium. My doctors worry is that I’m alone without a companion. If anyone can come up with someone who might be able to stay with me at some point while I’m drastically shrinking my tumor that way if I’m in the hotel and something might happen. I won’t be alone if I need to be taken to the clinic for an emergency. Please pray on that for me that the right person can come while I go through this next process.” From Orion, Chryseis’ brother— The radiation treatment (radiotherapy IMRT), for a recommended 25 sessions is $16,667. Essentially, this means we need to raise an additional ~$20,000 in addition to the original $35K goal. In November, I am going to organize a decentralized fundraiser called Care-a-oke by singing songs on IG Live (@cosmicfloral) to raise money for this treatment. Stay updated on Instagram for more info around that! Thank you, Orion on behalf of Chryseis’ family ORIGINAL POST- From Chryseis Dawn Watson: “I was diagnosed with diffused large B cell lymphoma (cancer) on 7.14.2024 two days before my wedding. It’s a large mass currently 9cm in diameter encasing my pulmonary artery pushing against my lung on my left chest cavity. The mass is directly under my left side chest and looks like it’s pushing my chest bone out. The mass is growing, it grew 1-2cm within weeks. I’m running out of time. They are going to give me a port for chemo and give me a bone marrow biopsy on the same day next week… My gut wants to say no. My vitals are still good. Even with the cough. All my organs are clear with no mass and working at its capacity, but my large mass in my chest is growing.. and each day my struggle to breathe and to suppress my coughing is more difficult. Now, here’s the silver lining, the good news! We found the perfect treatments. That makes sense for me. But it’s not here. With chemo and immunotherapy combo, tests and scans here, I’ll be billed for 100s of thousands of dollars. To poison myself and start disappearing before any sign of getting better. I’ll be fighting cancer and fighting my body’s self destruction. Why is this the only option at home? I could still die. What I need is here https://hope4cancer.com/ Being familiar with science based holistic healing. This is my vibe it’s not cheap up front. But it’s a chance.. a big chance, my only chance for hope and healing. And if this works! We want to raise money for other cancer fighting individuals for this same chance! We’ve started some direct fundraising for the goal of $60k. It covers a month of treatment with therapy and a dietician, at a resort and transportation with 4 separate treatments. With treatments to be done at home after. So many beautiful testimonies of successful stories. If you’re skeptical about what it’s about, please research for yourself. If you’re inclined to gift just $1 to reach our goals. We are more than grateful ♥️♥️♥️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/IbeNegan22 Cashapp: https://cash.app/$rositaespicey Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/Chryseis When we reach our goals; we will be transparent in the process of my treatments and healing. We plan to advocate and raise funds for others like me, who feel trapped in the medical industry and deserve true customizable treatments that nourishes your fighting body vs destroying it and quality of living while going gung ho on that cancer! We deserve better than to be called out by just our birthdays, we have a name. We are someone. We have lives worth living ♥️♥️♥️”
