HOPE 4 SUNSHINE!I just want to start by thanking everyone who has come along side us throughout this journey. Sunshine is a foster child that came to us the three and half years ago. What was suppose to be a two week placement has turn into a three and half year battle. She is a native child and it has been a fight to keep her, even though my family and I are native as well. She has a precious birth mother who has agreed to either an adotion or gaudianship. We had to hire a lawyer to advocate for us inorder to be heard. That lawyer has had to contract a tribal "GAL" of sorts to advocate for Sunshine. To be honest, this could end up being a losing battle, but we have to fight! We owe her a fight! A fight for her future, her stability and to stay with her loving family, the only family she knows!Due to our medical school journey, we dont have suficient funds to continue to pay for two lawyers. We have been encouraged, by some of our church family, to start a LFEBridge account. Apprently, this would help more than a speggetti feed due to the web extending futher than our small town.(=We greatly thank everyone for the support! PLEASE SHARE!
