Hi there! My name is Hope LaRosa and I created this page to help raise money for my Uncle Mark who is currently in hospice care at Kobacker House where they are keeping him comfortable. Over 12 years ago, Mark was experiencing some back pain and his wife Lauren, made him go to the ER to get checked out. They did a CT scan and found a large tumor on his left kidney. They took Mark into surgery the following day and were able to remove the tumor at first. However, after some additional testing, they found a spot in his right lung area - stage 4 from the get-go. Over these 12 years and due to the severity of his cancer, Mark has often required extensive hospital visits, sometimes weeks at a time. As you can imagine the expenses from the funeral, hospice care, and not to mention 12 years of cancer treatment can pile up quickly - and insurance only covers so much. In an attempt to ease some of the financial burdens, I am starting this fund for my Aunt Lauren and their two boys, Joseph and Dominic, who are going into high school and 8th grade respectively, in the fall.
