Hello everyone, We are Glenn and Cheyenne (both 28yrs). We started this LFEBridge because our son, Phoenix G. Woodward was born with a heart condition known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He has 5 older sister's (Noveah 7yr, Luna 6yr, Aurora 5yr, Ava 2yr and Amber 14mo.). We are asking for donations that may help us cover bills while we are able to spend time with our son in the hospital. Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome will require 3 open heart surgerys known as (Norwood, Glenn and Fontan). In some cases this HLHS calls for heart transplant. Phoenix Glenn Woodward was born on July 15th, 2024. He was diagnosed with HLHS around 26 weeks. It's been a very scary and eye opening journey for mom and I to learn so much from pediatric/cardictric appointments around the valley. Although being pregnant and knowing the battle we had ahead, Cheyenne worked all throughout her pregnancy, till July 8th. 1 week before giving birth. She truly is an amazing and hard working mom. Phoenix has made it through his 1st open heart surgery successfully, but now he has fluid in his chest and around his left lung, they have also found a clot on left side of neck. When he is able to come home he will be on life-long medication. ________________________________________________ Cheyenne and I are both full-time employees, we both work for Golden Heart Senior Care as in home care givers for elderly and disabled. Currently we are renting an apartment located near phoenix zoo, struggling is nothing new to us as we have 5 girls at home, but having our newborn son in the hospital with a life threatening ❤️ heart condition really has put our family in a position i never thought i would be in. Helping others is something I take pride in, but given the situation we both took time away from work to juggle spending time at the hospital with our son and someone staying home to make sure the kids at home are being taken care of aswell. We are staying as hopeful as possible and trying to spend as much time with him, while trying to manage an apartment to 5 girls. Any donations of any kind to help towards keeping Mom and Dad by their sons side and keeping bills paid at home, would make all the difference in the world. Please share, donate, support and follow Phoenix's journey as Cheyenne and I are planning to share more updates and stories about Phoenix and his family. Thank you all for taking the time to read. Please keep Phoenix and his Heart ❤️ in your thoughts and prayers. **UPDATE 08/04/2024** First off thank you to everyone who has donated and took the time to share. Please continue to share. We will have links to our social pages to give you more updates in Phoenix's journey. Phoenix is currently recovering from his first open heart surgery. He has IVs in his neck, wrist, bellybutton and from his calf all the way to his heart. He is on medication to keep his heart pumping at a normal rate. Phoenix is also on oxygen as his left lung is surrounded by liquid. They are hoping to remove the oxygen tube by the end of the week. fingers crossed X-rays also show they have found a blood clot in his neck which he is now taking blood thinning medicine to treat. I have also noticed and brought to the attention of nurses that his Heart rate has hiccups that cause his blood pressure to dip which happens quite often and is quite concerning for us. *Picture for reference As after a surgery as serious as this there are High Risk factors afterwards that could lead to other organs failling or not enough oxygen getting to babies brain or body which could lead to special needs and or deformity. We are heart broken ourselves and trying to keep pushing forward as bills are starting to catch up and the school year is starting. Again, please continue to share as this could really help keep out family close together. THANK YOU ❤️
