Hello! My name is Christina and I'm raising funds for a long-time friend and her awesome husband. Devin was diagnosed with glioblastoma (brain tumor) as a young adult. He went into remission, but it came back a few years later. Again, he went into remission for 5 years. Just a few months after Aimee and Devin got married in November of 2024, Devin had a routine scan and it showed the tumor came back. He has been receiving treatments in both Gainesville and Pensacola since, but this time it seems the tumor is resisting treatment and is quite a bit more aggressive. Devin has spent his entire adult life serving others. He went into AmeriCorp after high school, where he spent 10 months doing volunteer work. He then went on to become a Paramedic in Escambia County and worked there for almost a decade before his health interfered with the job demands. Aimee also works as a Paramedic in Escambia County. They have three rescue dogs and three rescue cats. They have literally committed their lives to serving and caring for others. Recently, he had a seizure and was told he wasn't fit for duty anymore and could no longer drive. He then went on to work in the ER at a local hospital. He recently started losing function of his left arm and is having trouble with fine motor skills and is currently unable to work. Aimee is now tasked with working full time, plus maintaining the household requirements, while also making sure Devin gets to all of his appointments and treatments. I can't imagine having the love of your life battle cancer while having to work as much as possible to cover bills. Let's please help bless Aimee and Devin.
