Ezra Charles Tate Sanders was born on Saturday, July 22, 2024 to Matt and Hannah Sanders, big sister Adelaide. On Sunday, during Ezra’s 24 hour check up, Hannah's midwife saw that his oxygen was low. They headed to the ER and he ended up getting a helicopter ride to Mott Children’s Hospital. Long story short, Ezra has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Basically, the left side of his heart didn’t form fully and is having a hard time keeping up. He is going to need a series of 4 procedures done over the next couple years to help his little heart and body out. The first procedure will be on Wednesday, July 26th and the next one will be about 6 weeks after. Ezra will have to stay at the hospital during all of this time. Matt and Hannah will be staying close by as well. The Sanders have a very long road ahead of them and this LFEBridge will help with medical expenses, living expenses, and loss of work for time away to care for Ezra. As you can imagine, this is very overwhelming to think about. The last thing that Matt and Hannah need is to think about financial stability. This will allow them the opportunity to care for Ezra and heal as a family. Thank you so much to those who have already been praying and helping in other ways. Prayer is the number one request because we believe that God will take this story and make it beautiful. Matt and Hannah are so very thankful for the support system they have. Please continue to pray for our little man and wisdom for the doctors and his care team.
