Hi, my name is Jessica. My sister Beth (formally Beth Pinkham) is a devoted Physician Assistant in Maine. She's helped many people over the years through their medical struggles. Now Beth needs our help. July 6th, Beth gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Elijah. Beth, her husband Eric, and Elijah's adorning older sister were over the moon excited. They were so excited to start their life as a family of four. The next day, Beth had a seizure. She went to the doctor and had an mri, revealing that she had a brain tumor. In that moment, her world came crashing down. Beth went to Dartmouth hospital and had another MRI, and had a follow appointment with an amazing neurosurgeon. The surgeon believes that she has a large brain tumor called a low grade glioma in the left side of her brain. She will have brain surgery in 3-4 weeks. It is operable, but it is a very risky surgery due to the size, location, and the fact that it has already invaded multiple areas of her brain. During surgery they will determine what type of tumor it is, and if it will be responsive to chemo. It will be sent away to pathologist. Recovery is going to be challenging and Beth will possibly need chemo or radiation. Beth will not be able to work while Beth is in recovery. Beth is always the first person to help when someone needs it. She's always there to listen to people and talk to them when they are in need. Beth endlessly and selflessly gives her time and energy to anyone in need. Beth and her family now need our help. She will be traveling to Dartmouth for her medical treatment. Medical bills will be high, as will the cost of travel, lodging, food, and loss of work. Beth and her family would appreciate any help that you can give her. She needs our prayers, love, and support now more than ever.
