Hi, my name is Mercedez and I'm making this fundraiser for Gwen and Chris. Some of us already know that she has to have a new well drilled and a pump put in her home. Gwen and Chris have been without water for 3 weeks now. Gwen has tried applying for loans and also tried taking out new credit lines and even called the city to attempt to connect to their system but unfortunately lives in a well-only community. She has attempted to get any and all help with this situation to no avail. Being a single mother and a homeowner Gwen was not ready to hear that the cost to get these things installed are upwards of 15,000! She has gotten 3 quotes from different companies and they were quoted at 12k,14k, and 15k. Let's be honest not many people have that type of money just lying around to fund such things. Those who know Gwen already know how much of great person she is and how much she cares about others around her and it's important for her to show love and make everyone feel safe, like they are family. Gwen has a 12-year-old Chris who we all know and love and if you know Gwen's story you know that she fought tooth and nail to keep him safe and loved through all odds. She fought loud battles and some I'm sure in silence that no one knows of. She is strong, independent and she's a fighter. I ask that you think about all the daily things we take for granted like brushing our teeth, flushing the toilet, showering or getting home-cooked meals and now put yourself in their shoes. It's not easy and I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. So I think it's time we come together and show her how big of a family she has by donating whatever little amount we can spare because every penny will add up to a dollar. No amount is too small. All donations will go to the installment of a newly drilled well and the installation of a new pump and whatever else is needed. She's struggling to keep her hopes up and that's where we can help. Let's show her that we got her like she's always got us! Just to reiterate every dollar and cent donated will go to the cost of the project and if for some reason there was extra donated that was not needed it would be donated to other causes for other people in need here on LFEBridge.com.
