Hi everybody! I tend to be a very prideful person but I reached a new bridge to cross this morning at 3:15 am when our Zoey monster was found getting attacked by a coyote that jumped my back yard fence early this morning. My house was covered in crime scene and the moments that passed for Logan, Me, and Linda (roommate) were so horrific that I could not help but feel my heart break into pieces each time we attempted to help her to safety. She was attacked on her neck and her chest and is currently in stable condition. One Vet was booked and the ER we took her to last night was the worst. We are now at another Pet hospital where they already charged us for the visit ($1500) and are now quoting us $5000 to do testing and diagnostics. Although this would be for a complete work up, this would only cover everything that leads to the surgery and not the surgery itself. I know we all have our “thing” going on… and that we are all playing catch up. Just thought as I sit here feeling hopeless I would try this site out. Thank you in advance for reading this far. Thoughts, prayers, and good vibes are always welcome. ***UPDATE*** As of 8/6 Lisa has been on call with the Doctor and has been able to keep in touch throughout the day with the Doctor for Zoey. Here is tonight’s update… Her surgery went well! Zoey has 3 broken ribs and the Doctor corrected and repaired the laceration in her right lung. She currently has a chest tube as well. They were able to suture all the big bite marks, however some of the puncture holes that were smaller they were unable to suture as there were too many to count. Zoey is stable and doing good but not out of the woods yet. She went on a little walk this evening. She did go pee which is great! However no poop yet but she did eat a little. We are Unsure as to when she can come home due to the chest tube in she currently still has. Lisa as arranged for Zoey to be on 24/7 watch at her house during her recovery which I’m sure all you pet owners out there know is not easy. For those of you that have donated, thank you sooooo much! As well as thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!
