Hi, my name is Chip and I am friends with a young black very sweet woman named Najida Burns. Her mother Bettye died recently and Najda has not been working because of health issues. She's looking for a job and needs transitional help to avoid homelessness. Her message: Hello, My name is Najida Burns. I had moved back in with my mother over a decade ago because of financial and health issues from the both of us. Slowly we were getting back on our feet but a few weeks ago my mother passed away after a illness we thought was just a cold but found out it was pneumonia. I’ve already started going to Social Services but that takes time. I find that I need to pay at least 1 month’s rent, so I can get everything and myself in order. If you are willing to help thank you in advance. 8/19/23 Update: Najida reports: that I have applied for county help and that moves very slowly and I have and continuing to put in job applications. She has been attending a workshop to practice interviewing and job searching. She is looking for a roommate. She has applied for food help. She has a referall for someone who will help with her resume. Things move slowly indeed. Her spirits are improved. She appreciated the help LFEBridge provided with her rent.
