Hello everyone! I’m raising funds to help my girlfriend Kelly with (unexpected and on going) medical expenses. Kelly was diagnosed in early May 2024 with Stage 3 (Severe) Gastroparesis. Gastroparesis, which means stomach paralysis, is a rare chronic progressive disease with no cure or treatment for the disease itself, you can only treat the symptoms. It is a condition affecting the nerves and muscles in your stomach. It interferes with the muscle activity (peristalsis) that moves food through your stomach and into your small intestine. When your stomach muscles and nerves can’t activate correctly, your stomach can’t process food. Unfortunately, at this time she also cannot tolerate solid foods. She currently struggles with all possible symptoms (Indigestion, bloating stomach, Feeling full very quickly and/or for a long time, Upper abdominal pain, Nausea and vomiting, Loss of appetite, Acid reflux, Blood sugar fluctuations and Constipation) and sometimes, all of the symptoms simultaneously.Needless to say this has flipped her life upside down. She tries her best to fight through the days, but watching her health and quality of life progressively get worse is heart breaking. She went from being an incredibly active and joyful person, to most days not being able to get out of bed. We never know from one day to next what tomorrow will be like. We make the best of the good days but they are few and far between. And sadly, we have yet to find a cocktail of medications to give her consistent relief.  Kelly is the last person that will ever ask anyone for help, she never wants to be or feel like a burden… but the medical bills are piling up as she has weekly doctors appointments, constant testing and numerous medications to refill monthly. In addition, she will be heading to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville next month (August) to see a specialist. The worst thing for her right now is stress so I’m raising funds to help relieve some already occurred medical bills, traveling expenses and any future medical bills and expenses. From the bottom of my heart, and I know Kelly’s, we appreciate any and all help. Hopefully someday she can say I USED to suffer from Gastroparalysis. To quote her “it ain’t easy being queazy”Christopher
