I have had amalgam (mercury) fillings in several teeth for more than 30 years. Some teeth have more than one filling. In the recent years I have had a number of health issues and symptoms that have not been able to be explained. I have undergone several medical tests done by M.D.'s to try to be able to figure out the root to the variety of symptoms I have been having. From all standard testing, everything appears normal. But, things are not. So, I have had the need to figure out why I would be having such a variety of symptoms from many different body systems, so I can have some resoution to them, not wanting these sympoms to become full blown diseases. As symptoms are the bodies signals that something wrong is happening, and I am not wanting these to progress into anything more serious than what I am dealing with now. Some of the body systems involved are Neorological, Endocrine, Digestive, and a variety of what is generally refered to as "Brain" symptoms. (Affecting memory for example.) In all of this realizing that I have had digestive issues for as long as I can remember, just assuming they were normal, because that is all I knew. All things point to the mercury that has been leaching into my body for 30+ years.I recently had an appointment with a dentist that has been specially trained to remove mercury fillings, because the average dentist is not equipped with the knowledge nor the necessary equipment to handle doing the removing of these heavy metal fillings. As the patient and dental staff must have the proper equipment to protect themselves from the heavy metal exposure when removing these fillings. One tooth, in paricular, is having a number of issues. It has been bothering me for a while. From the dentist thorough exam I have come to learn that the mercury filling has worn down, deep, and needs to be addressed anyway. Also, that tooth has cracked in 4 places. Which easily explains why I have been having issues with it. It will need a partial bridge. One new cavity needs filled. The rest drilled out and replaced with a much less toxic filling substance. Though nothing is perfect, except healthy teeth. But, no new fillings needed in more than 30 years is pretty good. The costs involved for the dental care, travel expenses (as there are no dentists even remotely close that are capable of doing this type of procedure), and the lenghty process of detoxifying my entire body from so many years of heavy metal exposure, is much greater then I can afford. Yet, the price of allowing these issues to turn into full blown diseases will cost even more in the long run. Herein is why I have set up this fund, hoping to raise the needed financial support to be able to take back my health. I had the initial dental appointment October 15th, and am only guaranteed the price quote for 90 days, January 15th. He is booked up for 2 1/2 to 3 months in advance for his dental care. I will be making an appointment this week to try to be able to get in to hold the price, hoping that the funds can be raised to actually make the appointment, or I will need to cancel. I will update this as soon as I have an appointment for the first part of the whole process. As it has to be more than one appointment because of the seriousness of the heavy metal exposure. In faith, I am making the appointment. In advance, I deeply appreciate any donations for my cause. With much gratitude,Wendy Emmert
