Hello, I Kenesha, am writing on behalf of my sister Veneisha. The story is very long and so I will best try to summarize. Veneisha was recently diagnosed with stage 4 DIFFUSE LARGE B-CELL LYMPHOMA (DLBCL). This is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's immune system. This cancer starts in cells called lymphocytes, which are white blood cells that help the body fight off infections. Over 7 years she noticed a swelling (lump) behind her ears/at her upper neck. She continuously check in with doctors to see what could be causing the problem but none was able to say. She even asked the doctors if they think it was cancerous- the doctor assured her that it was NOT. However, she did not stop checking in as the concern grows with pain that was at times unbearable. A few months ago one doctor diagnosed her with an autoimmune disorder called Sjogren's (pronounced Show-grin's). Things went downhill in mid-June (about 3 weeks ago) when multiple swellings popped up all over the body accompanied by pain. Her doctor decided to cut one of the smaller swellings and test a sample. From this result, Veneisha learned that she had cancer. This situation forced her to stop working as she is hospitalized for her 1st rounds of Chemotherapy. Veneisha is far away from her extended family, residing in Japan with her husband and 2 daughters. However, her family is in full support and she is in very good spirits and is faithful that her treatment will give her the chance to live a normal life again. With cancer treatment comes extraneous medical bills and as such Veneisha is sharing her situation with anyone who is willing to extend monetary aid to cover some of her expenses. Regardless of the amount, Veneisha will be appreciative. Remember to keep Veneisha and her family in your prayers. Blessings.......
