Hi, my name is Alyssa, my fiance's name is Chris, and my son's name is Skyler. Skyler has a rare auto immune disorder that causes his blood not to clot properly. Because of this, any injury is a serious injury. He recently got a very serious injury and needs care while it heals. On top of that, I'm dealing with my own medical issues. I've been in and out of the hospital, 8 days a few weeks ago being the most recent. I'm in excruciating pain day in and day out. I have a team of specialists working to find out what's wrong, and there's clues with things that aren't where they should be, but no real answers yet. Between caring for myself and Skyler my hands are full. Oh also our AC needs completely replaced! On top of that, we originally had only two rescue dogs, but found a homeless puppy in terrible condition. We rescued it but it needs vet care and to be neutered. Because I've missed 26 days of work since June 22nd, not only do we not have the funds for that, but also for food, mortgage, electricity, etc. My last check was 77$. We barely will have enough to make the mortgage and don't know how we'll pay the rest of the bills this month. I'm now on FMLA leave from work for 6 weeks, which means at worst 6 weeks without a paycheck, and at best I'll get a portion of my income through disability and that's most certainly not guaranteed. Chris works full time but I was the primary breadwinner when this all happened. Unfortunately losing my income is a huge hit. I've had a few people mention I should make one of these and I think it's time I take their advice. We don't know how we'll get through the next couple months. We really need help from our village. We've already had an outpouring of love and we wholeheartedly appreciate every single one of you. ANYTHING helps. We are eternally grateful for those of you able to help, whether it be here financially, or elsewhere in other ways. Its all so helpful. Thank you everyone for everything you've done for us.
