The Olsen’s are skipping Christmas. That’s right, this year we are changing it up a bit and focusing on what we can GIVE instead of what we can GET. How you might ask? Keep reading.Can you envision a land where poverty, hardship, hunger and a lack of resources both spiritually and physically keep many from even hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ? We want to share with you an opportunity God has presented our family and church. December 28th all 4 of us along with 25 members of our Dream Team at Decibel Church will be boarding a plane to Nicaragua. We get to work with an organization called Beauty Restored. Attached to this letter is a detailed look at what we will be doing while in country. We have watched as Ally has developed such a heart for missions and giving. Ever since she was little she would get catalogs from different missions organizations and she would circle what she want to save her money to go toward. She can hardly wait for this trip. This will be both Ally and Chase’s first missions trip out of the country. We are so excited about the opportunity and experience that lie ahead. We hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. We know this will be a life changing experience for the people in the slums of Nicaragua as well as ourselves. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. In order to go on this mission trip we need to raise $6,750 by December 1st. If you can support our family in a financial way, we would be very grateful. And most importantly, we need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in our ministry in Nicaragua.
