My name is Tristan and this is my mom,Barb. She has a 2016 Ford Transit 350XLT passenger van. My mom needs help, her van is on it’s last leg, as it’s bearing 400,000 miles and she can’t afford a new one just yet. She saves anywhere from 80 to 140 dogs a month from over crowded, high kill shelters and brings them to adopters, fosters, and rescues in the pacific north west and canada in hopes to give them a second chance at life. There are an over abundance of dogs in California that need help and without this van she wouldn’t be able to do what she does. Over the course of the last 4 years with the help of many different rescues she’s been able to help about 4,000 dogs find their forever homes. 4,000 families across the West Coast, Pacific Northwest, and Canada gained a family member. A child gained their childhood best friend, an outdoorsman gained a hiking buddy, and someone who needs a little extra help gained some emotional support. Without people like my mom and other people with hearts like you, all the dogs she has saved would have never gotten to experience what’s its like to have a family. This is what my mom loves to do and wants to do for many more years to come.
