Hey there! Thank you so much for simply clicking the link and taking a look at our project. Truly. Who we are The Potter's Homestead was founded in 2016 by yours truly, Hanna Greig-Steinmetz (Rankin), a self-taught ceramic artist and farmer. Located in Franklin, a charming municipality in the Haut Saint Laurent region, we offer a variety of products: thoughtfully handmade pottery, pottery classes, carefully curated harvest boxes (summer months only), as well as various products from the farm such as pasture raised chicken and dehydrated sourdough starter. We proudly position ourselves at crossroad between handmade pottery and sustainable agriculture. What we offer In a world that runs on hustle culture and glorifying the notion of being "sooo busy", we aim to gently encourage folks to re-evaluate and hone in on incorporating intentional living into their daily lives: - Our pottery is made to last and inspired by all the beauty that surrounds their family homestead: fresh produce, happy animals, lush pastures and rustic century homes. - Our pottery classes are all about letting go: of all expectations and negative self talk, only to replace them with curiosity and a sense of community. - Our farm fresh produce is a reminder that eating seasonally will make your meals that much more nutrient dense and encourage your local farmers to continue to exist. It's a reminder that produce, like you and I, have equal seasons of abundance, sowing seeds, maintenance and rest. What's next? Today, our pottery classes take place in the basement of our home, and all sales are managed through our website. To say we have a craving for one space to offer a more immersive experience is an understatement! So, here's what's next: We are working towards opening a storefront right here at the farm. Shop pottery and fresh produce all at once, and hey, why not participate in a pottery workshop while you're at it? Construction starts at the end of July 2024. We would be deeply grateful for any support on keeping this project going! If you don't have the means right now, you can still support us by following us on instagram / facebook and sharing this link! Thank you endlessly, Hanna @ The Potter's Homestead
