My bonus Dad suffered a severe stroke last month. Trace worked full-time and his income was the primary support they had. In Idaho, the Family Medical Leave only protects your job for 12 weeks but it does not provide disability payments. Then after that, they terminate his employment and his medical insurance. This has left them with basically no income. He was just released last week to go home but he still has several therapy sessions 30-45 minutes away and cannot be left alone for long periods of time. He has a very long recovery road ahead of him and he will probably never recover 100%. He is not eligible for social security disability for at least 6 months. While it was a very difficult decision to ask for help, that is what is desperately needed. If you have been lucky enough to know Trace, you know that he is one of the most giving, happy, and friendly people. He would always do anything he could to help others. So, his entire family is asking for your help and appreciates anything you can give to lessen the financial burdens by helping to cover the medical costs and living expenses. For anyone that wants to help but does not have access to donate here, Maverick gas cards would help pay the additional gas costs. Also, to help with groceries, gift cards from Walmart or Ridley’s would be a great help. We also have a venmo account you can send cash to, if preferred. And of course, continued prayers and well wishes are always welcome.
