Tom Allen is one of this year's celebrity dancers for the local Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) event to raise money for Ottawa County CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates.  This is a nonprofit organization which recruits and trains special volunteers who work directly with children whose parents are  involved in the court system. The CASA volunteer's role is to advocate for the needs of the kids and make sure they get what they need.  Read more about them here .Every year CASA recruits well-known local people to take part in this fundraiser, pairing them with dance professionals to prepare a number to perform for the audience.  In the weeks leading up to the big night, each celebrity works to raise money for CASA, and whoever brings in the most gets a Mirror Ball Trophy. Tom has been rehearsing his moves with his partner, Lisa, and is getting ready for the big show on November 21.  Let's try to make sure he raises enough money for this great cause to win the championship and take home that Mirror Ball!Last year's winner raised $7,000, so we know he has to bring in at least that much.  Those wishing to come to the event should make sure to buy their ticket from Tom or someone in his family.  Those not able to join us on November 21 can help Tom win by using this convenient LFEBridge account.  The money goes directly to CASA.Tom is well-known throughout the Port Clinton area as a guy who works hard, is loyal to Kroger and to his family and friends, and is just about as pleasant as a person can be.  A couple of years ago he set a goal to give back to our community. Our family is very proud of his many accomplishments and we can't think of a better way for folks to show their appreciation for his hard work and dedication than to donate a bit in his name now.  Please give what you can today and help spread the word!  Go Tom! Bring home the Mirror Ball!Thank you for anything you can do to help!
