UPDATE: Thomas is fighting hard. The initial surgery went well, and he is starting to gain some feeling in his arms and legs. On the other hand, he has come down with pneumonia, so every breath is a battle of sorts. He knows about this effort and is very grateful for those rallying around him. Thomas Behling, son of Brett Behling, broke his neck during a tragic horse-riding accident recently. While we know Thomas is tough, and that they don't make them better than the Behling family, this type of injury results in surgeries and treatments that will keep Thomas from being able to go home for 6 months to 18 months or longer. My name is Joshua Palmer, and I have first hand seen Brett Behling sacrifice sleep and time to feed the hungry during Covid. I've heard him refer to Thomas as his best friend, and witnessed his kids light up when he enters the room. I also heard Brett's voice as he talked about what happened, what it means and what it will cost. It is time to circle the wagons and help! Let's show the Behlings we love them, and show Thomas we are invested in his recovery. While this goal will not cover all the associated expenses, it hopefully will relieve a burden.
