Help Them Feed Themselves The village of Balalie in the 5th district of Haiti has been in a drought for the past 3 years.  There is a river that runs near the village year round.  There is a canal system in place to irrigate the rice fields.  The only thing needed is a pump and a tractor to drive the pump.  For just $60,000 this equipment could be purchased, the rice fields could be flooded and in less than 9 months, the drought would be overcome.  This project would not only provide a vital food source for over 5000 people, it would provide employment for a large number of people and a self sustaining income that could ease the difficulty of life in a poor Haitian village.  Please visit the link above to learn more about this important project.
