Hi my name is Bill Sturgill. I started this go fund me, to help raise money and resources for my friend Tara Alexander, to help replace a vehicle, she used that was involved in an over night accident on Saturday July 22nd in Pennsylvania. My friends Tara and Russ Alexander was on their way to Philadelphia to help with an event called, “ Hope Over America,” that was happening on Saturday and Sunday of July 22 & 23rd. In the overnight hours on their way to Philadelphia, they struck a bear on the highway that destroyed their vehicle. Thankfully they were ok. But they pushed on to still get to their called destination. Since the fall of 2019, Tara has been going every few weeks to sow and give to the homeless and less fortunate in New Orleans. She calls what she does,” Treasure Hunters.” She went to New Orleans to visit a revival that was happening in NO, but while helping with an outreach, she fell in love with the people there. Since 2019 every three to six week at times, she takes self care packs and other items, and gives it to her street friends there. She loves the people, and they love her. Over the past few years, she has helped people to get into Heritage House, which is a Christian Addiction Recovery Center here in Cincinnati. She ministers with the love of God to the broken, lost, and poor. Many of the street people in New Orleans, has Tara’s cell phone, where they can call her. Last year, Tara and Russ bought a mini van for her to use, so she can take more gift packs and resources on her trips to New Orleans. They were able to get it at a great price, and Russ was able to do the repairs needed on the van, to get it in travel condition. It set for many years, but Russ the guy he is, had that van going days before Tara’s next trip. They did that out of their own pocket. They need help with her personal vehicle this time, that was used for ministry trips until they received their mini van. This is where I feel like we can come into being a blessing. I believe we can help raise funds to help Tara and Russ and to be able to replace their vehicle that was destroyed. For so long they have given from their hearts and pockets.
