Hi most of you know me as Sythyst, a dubstep Dj / Producer but let me formally introduce myself. Hi everyone my name is Sydney<3 Recently I have had some genetic testing done to find out if I have a cancer gene called BRCA 1. BRACA 1 is directly related to Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, and Skin Cancer. My mom and my aunt growing up both had to go through Breast Cancer and both do have this BRCA 1 gene. I recently have learned that i do now also have this gene. I’ve always known in the back of my head that one day i would have to go through somthing like this. Until I learned that there are preventative surgeries for exactly what i’m dealing with. I have now made the decision to have a preventative double mastectomy to reduce my risk of one day being diagnosed with breast cancer. I have scheduled my surgery and it is August 14th. Due to me having my heart condition called POTS I haven’t been able to work a real job other than Djing for over 4 years. Playing shows is my one and only income, so now having this surgery I will not be able to play a show for over 6 weeks. Which means I can’t pay rent or pay my car payment. I have never been the one to ask for help but I am desperate. I hope you read my story and are willing to help me out Thank you to all my fans that have always believed in me and to my friends and family by my side helping me through this.
