Hello my name is Amy Rich and I am helping Susan (Welton) Carter raise funds for medical, travel and living expenses surrounding her brain surgery and recovery. This is Susan’s third surgery and it is scheduled for August 9th in Portland, Maine. Susan first had a tumor removed in 2011 and again in 2015. Her team in both Bar Harbor and Brewer have been great and the new area of concern was found during a routine MRI and not through symptoms. Susan is optimistic and so is her surgeon. She finds it both a blessing and curse that she unfortunately knows what is to come. She is blessed with a loving family and supportive bosses. I want to help alleviate some of the financial worries surrounding her time in Portland and her recovery and any further treatments. Her previous surgeries occurred during the off season and she is worried about leaving her employers in a lurch and also not being able to work her second job. Susan is not one who likes asking for help but many offers of assistance have been extended to her and she appreciates them all. If you are able to donate thank you.
